About OML (Okinawa Microbial Library)

  Okinawa, characterized to be located in sole sub-tropical area in Japan with many island ecosystems, expected to have a diverse microbial resources.
‘Okinawa Microbial Library’ is the library of microbial isolates and their culture extracts originated from Okinawa-archipelago.  We believe that the OML database with biochemical functions, genetic information, etc, could be useful for industrial application.  New collaborative research for expanding our OML resources by screening would also appreciately be encouraged.
